4-star LB Troy Ford Announces Commitment

Last month, the Knights received a commitment from talented linebacker prospect Troy Ford. He was highly coveted by multiple schools including Auburn, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Missouri, and more. He held 21 offers in total.  Ford knew UCF was the place for him when he was there, he said he felt he had found the right place. He tells me they stuck out more than other schools because “They are an upcoming program and the culture is just different from other places”. His relationship with HC Gus Malzahn is great as he talks to him a lot, he has also built strong relationships with coaches on the defensive side of the ball including DC Travis Williams and GA Tre’ Williams.  He has visited multiple times including a couple unofficial visits and a junior day visit, every time he would step foot on campus it made him feel more wanted. As a player, he gives all of his effort on the field and is willing to work harder than anyone. He is also one of the most physical guys day in and day
