3-Star CB Jonah Lytle Breaks Down His Commitment

Cincinnati continues their recruiting dominance in the AAC as they land their 20th commitment from 3-Star CB Jonah Lytle. He is a lockdown corner from McKinley in Ohio, who helped lead them to an 8-2 record and a Regional Semifinal appearance in 2019.

Lytle told me he decided Cincinnati was the place he wanted to be after he went on a visit to the campus and he got to see how involved the coaches were and how much they cared about the players both on and off the field.

He was originally committed to Toledo but de-committed a few days ago, when I asked him what changed he told me that he feels Cincinnati was a better fit for him and his play style.

He has great relationships with head Coaches Fickell (Head Coach), Freeman (Defensive Coordinator), and Eliano (CB Coach). He also says they would contact him consistently which is part of the reason he committed there.

When I asked him about how he thinks he will be used he told me he believes the coaches will put him wherever he can play the best whether that be in the nickel, outside corner, or at safety. Jonah also told me that he hopes to play as a true freshman and he can’t wait to prove to the coaches how much of a hard worker he is.

In summary Cincinnati got a hard worker in Lytle and I can’t wait to see how he will perform at the next level under a great head coach and all the talent he has.
