S Taylor Groves Talks Commitment

 


Just recently 4-star ATH Taylor Groves committed to Ole Miss, he is a Top 200 player with 25 offers and chose the Rebels over Michigan, Arkansas, LSU, Penn State, Texas A&M, and Notre Dame among others. 

Taylor knew he wanted to go to Ole Miss during his visit saying, “My family loved it and fell in love with the place and coaches, and so did I, and finally finding a home and being committed felt great, it was a lot of weight off my shoulders and allows me to focus on senior and knowing that’s where I’m going to be”. They stuck with him throughout the whole recruiting process and that really stood out to him. Taylor has a great relationship with the staff at Ole Miss, they keep in contact with him everyday.

When I asked about his visit, he said “ It was all great, got to sit down with all the coaches and eat dinner. The facilities were the best of the best, and got to meet some of the secondary guys like AJ Finley”. Taylor was able to talk with the coaches and players, and how everything was at Ole Miss. 

He describes his game as doing whatever is need to win, Taylor is physical, a great tackler, and can force turnovers in coverage. He tries to model his game after Minkah Fitzpatrick who is one of the best safeties in the NFL.

Ole Miss’ defense will only get better with the addition with Taylor, as he should fit in well and could play anywhere in the secondary. He is excited to play in the SEC as they are the best conference and he wants to build on his game, as well as help Ole Miss capture a National Championship.

2022 OT Jake Maikkula Discusses Top Schools

On the 31st, Class of 2022 3-star OT Jake Maikkula trimmed his list of schools from 27 to his Top 8. The schools that made the cut were Kansas State, Missouri, Minnesota, Cal, Virginia, Duke, Colorado, and Nebraska. Jake plays at Valor Christian High School in Littleton, CO and is rated as one of the top players in the state of Colorado. Here are some things that stood out to him about each school on his top list: Missouri- "Incredible facilities and the ability to play in the SEC. I really like the coaches there as well and the area is great. Coach (Marcus) Johnson does an exceptional job developing his players." Cal- "Amazing area and outstanding academics. 3-star OT Leyton Nelson Talks Top 5

    On the 24th, Class of 2022 3-star OT Leyton Nelson named his Top 5 schools, the teams included were Duke, UCF, Miami, Florida, & Utah. He originally planned to make his commitment on July 4th but has since delayed his decision. Nelson plays for Boone High School in Orlando, FL was recently named the 2021 Offensive Line MVP of the Underclassmen Report Orlando.
