Interview With Terian Williams II

Last week I was able to conduct an interview with rising star Terian Williams II. Williams is a Top 500 recruit (According to 247Sports Composite) from Johns Creek High School in Alpharetta, GA. He has 35 offers including from many Power 5 programs including Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.

Williams has a goal of getting to be the #1 athlete in the nation, and some of his goals for the team are to win state and to get stronger this offseason. Johns Creek was 4-5 last season and Williams had 55 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 4 pass breakups. He even contributed on offense with 4 receptions for 58 yards and 1 touchdown (All According to MaxPreps). When he was growing up his team to root for was Clemson, his youth team was the North Henry Tigers, and he says they tried to resemble Clemson at the time.

He tells me that a good amount of schools have been contacting him weekly to try and build a good relationship with him. Having a relationship with a coach is very important to him, Terian believes the most important relationship to have is with the position coach because that is who will be spending the most time with you and teaching you the most.

When I asked him if the location of the school matters he told me he would be comfortable anywhere and that location doesn't matter. Williams also says academics is very important and the school he is looking for will be good on the field and in the classroom.

His teammates describe him as someone who leads by example and holds everyone accountable, also how he brings much positive energy to the team. Williams models his play off of Richard Sherman by how he mentally prepares for his matchups and his great knowledge of the game, and Jamal Adams because of his physicality. Terian is being recruited to play corner, safety, or nickel, and he also tells me multiple teams want him to return punts and kickoffs.

He plans to release his top schools sometime in the spring once he gets a chance to visit schools in person. I expect more teams to come into the picture by that time because he is truly such a great player.
