Arkansas Lands LB Mani Powell


 Arkansas continued their in-state recruiting dominance when they landed 3-star LB Mani Powell, a Top 10 player in the state from Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, AR. He held a total of 17 offers including from Coastal Carolina, Michigan, Syracuse, Indiana, & more.

He knew he was ready to commit on his visit, saying “It was kind of hard not to commit on the spot but really after the visit I couldn’t stop thinking about how great it was”. The school really impressed him on the visit and he will never forget the experience, adding “They outdid everybody and I knew 100% that I wanted to commit”.

Some things that stood out about Arkansas was the constant great recruiting and how family meant a lot to them. When describing his relationship with the staff, Mani said “Very close and personal, these people have shown that they are great men before great coaches and they’ve made it their job to make recruits family before making them great football players”. 

Mani tries to model his game after Ray Lewis by playing focused, relentlessly driven, & mean. He feels the level of competition in the SEC is a great way to prove how dominant the Razorbacks can be. Mani will play as the leader he knows he can be and will put in the work necessary to help the team win.

2022 OT Jake Maikkula Discusses Top Schools

On the 31st, Class of 2022 3-star OT Jake Maikkula trimmed his list of schools from 27 to his Top 8. The schools that made the cut were Kansas State, Missouri, Minnesota, Cal, Virginia, Duke, Colorado, and Nebraska. Jake plays at Valor Christian High School in Littleton, CO and is rated as one of the top players in the state of Colorado. Here are some things that stood out to him about each school on his top list: Missouri- "Incredible facilities and the ability to play in the SEC. I really like the coaches there as well and the area is great. Coach (Marcus) Johnson does an exceptional job developing his players." Cal- "Amazing area and outstanding academics. 3-star OT Leyton Nelson Talks Top 5

    On the 24th, Class of 2022 3-star OT Leyton Nelson named his Top 5 schools, the teams included were Duke, UCF, Miami, Florida, & Utah. He originally planned to make his commitment on July 4th but has since delayed his decision. Nelson plays for Boone High School in Orlando, FL was recently named the 2021 Offensive Line MVP of the Underclassmen Report Orlando.
