4-star Darron Reed Updates His Recruitment

One of the nations top prospects, 2023 4-star Darron Reed has updated me on the outlook of his recruitment. The 6’5 260lb Georgia native is being recruited by some of the top schools in the nation and holds 10 offers currently. He tells me Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, & Auburn all stand out to him. Darron has also received interest from Louisville, Clemson, Mississippi State, UNC, Virginia Tech, Oregon, Kentucky, & Notre Dame among others.

He has attended camps at both Florida State and Tennessee and was on visits to both schools as well. Darron visited Florida State for their game against Notre Dame on 9/5 and he tells me he was at Tennessee for this weekends game on 10/9. 

Darron has built strong relationships with a lot of coaches at different schools including Coach Bates (Clemson), Coach Nick Eason (Auburn), Coach Scott (Georgia), Coach Knight (Georgia Tech), & Coach Harbin (Tennessee). He talks with those coaches a lot and is always learning more from them as well.

Academics is of high importance as he wants to go to a school with a good academic program. Darron is also open to playing anywhere location wise. He tells me “It feels great and I feel dreams really do come true” answering how it feels to be getting recognized by schools for all of his hard work.

Reed is having a solid junior campaign with Carver helping the team to a 5-1 start, including a 9 tackle, 1 sack performance against LaGrange on the 1st. I believe he will continue his dominance and turn even more heads along the way.

2022 OT Jake Maikkula Discusses Top Schools

On the 31st, Class of 2022 3-star OT Jake Maikkula trimmed his list of schools from 27 to his Top 8. The schools that made the cut were Kansas State, Missouri, Minnesota, Cal, Virginia, Duke, Colorado, and Nebraska. Jake plays at Valor Christian High School in Littleton, CO and is rated as one of the top players in the state of Colorado. Here are some things that stood out to him about each school on his top list: Missouri- "Incredible facilities and the ability to play in the SEC. 3-star OT Leyton Nelson Talks Top 5

    On the 24th, Class of 2022 3-star OT Leyton Nelson named his Top 5 schools, the teams included were Duke, UCF, Miami, Florida, & Utah. He originally planned to make his commitment on July 4th but has since delayed his decision. Nelson plays for Boone High School in Orlando, FL was recently named the 2021 Offensive Line MVP of the Underclassmen Report Orlando.
